Intro to Sketchbooking (April session)

Class Summary
Learn to sketch the world around you to record your everyday life or travels! Each week we will use a new medium and have fun exploring different drawing and painting techniques.
No previous drawing or painting experience is required.
Format
Each class begins with a live instructor demonstration followed by instructed drawing time for the rest of the class. We will draw from a variety of references, working with a new medium each week!
Syllabus
Week 1 Slide lecture and a look through Conner’s personal sketchbooks. Sketching with toned paper and white gouache.
Week 2 Pen and Ink
Week 3 Colored pencils
Week 4 Gouache and watercolors
Materials
All materials provided including your very own sketchbook to take home!
