Artist BIO
Conner Jhoon Choi (he/him) is a Korean American painter and muralist living in Denver, CO. His work is inspired by a love of sensitive, intentional observation and composition of natural themes. His subject matter features landscapes, botanicals, portraits, and animals in a variety of media including oil paints, gouache, casein, and colored pencil. After years of building foundational techniques and skills, Conner has expanded his work to focus on community based projects, including community painted murals and exhibitions featuring underrepresented creatives. He believes that art offers unique opportunities for social commentary, visual impact, and community placemaking that can connect and uplift all of us. When he is not painting you can can find him hiking, gardening, or rock climbing with friends.
