Artist BIO

Based in East Denver, Conner Jhoon Choi is a muralist, fine artist, and arts educator focusing on the intersections of AAPI identity, outdoor recreation, and mental health. Drawing from diverse sources including his Korean heritage and classical Western painting education, his compositions merge traditional East-Asian aesthetics with realism. His subject matter primarily features landscapes, botanicals, and culturally focused figurative paintings. He believes that the role of art is to inspire, offer unique social commentary, and create community spaces that connect and uplift everyone. Through his mural work, Conner focuses on projects centered on social justice that include community members in the installation of monumental public artwork. When he is not painting you can find him hiking, rock climbing, or gardening with his partner.
